Our Vision

Southern Exposure Renewable Energy Co.is a Michigan corporation that has been created as an entity thru which people may further the use and development of natural resources. Natural resources of course includes nuclear fuels,coal and other fossil fuels but our focus is on bringing into reality the most valuable renewable energy of all that is the energy of the spirit. For it is in the realm of the spirit that we have to begin to work together to create a community that can work together to the use and develop renewable energies derived from clean sources such as; Solar, Wind, Water, Geo-thermal and Biomass. These are the energies given to us to sustain life on this planet. Our wish is that we may use these gifts in ways that can show our appreciation for all of life. We endeavor to work with all people to educate and promote the expeditious use of these green technologies for the continued existence of life on this planet in a more healthy environment.
It has been estimated the cost in dollars spent each year by Michiganians alone on energy is between 20 and 24 billion dollars with a great deal of this money leaving our state to buy energy in the form of coal, oil and nuclear fuels being imported into Michigan. The true cost for the use of these polluting fuels is much greater when you take into account the destruction of our planet's ecological systems and the unnecessary diseases and early deaths from pollution.
If you strip away governmental subsidies, the cost of developing and transporting, the growing scarcity of even finding fossil fuels and the cost of decommissioning nuclear facilities and storing the waste then it should not be difficult to see that in Michigan alone we are paying far more than a mere 24 billion dollars each year. For a fraction of that amount we can develop renewable energy resources and help start helping people, the economy and our environment get on track. There are other no other viable options here. The current status quo energy path we are on is not in the best interests of any partisan politician, investor, consumer or our Earth. We can take that 24 billion plus and develop new technologies, retire debt on outmoded technologies and start to heal the Earth and our lives or we can continue on the present course for which we will find the end is just a stones throw away. Sustainability is the measure by which something may be continued!
And the overwhelming evidence both scientific and what we intuitively know in our hearts is that our present course is not sustainable. This is not about "Us and Them", "Red or Green", "Republican or Democrat" there really is no us and them in this equation. There is only work together to turn this ship around or go over the waterfall together.
We will not pretend to have all of the answers on this website , We only endeavor to share some of what there is out there on these subjects and to grow in our knowledge and experience in building a better world together.
